Today is May 21, 2021, and I have been watching the Mindy Project on Hulu all day for the past week. Why am I binge-watching America's favorite romantic comedy tv show, you may ask? Well, as I am 27 years old, and I have absolutely no direction in my life. Not to quote Katy Perry, but I sometimes feel like a plastic bag floating through the wind, wanting to start again.
Being two years into my 'quarter-life crisis' I am at a point where all I want to do is paint flowers on seashells and hang out with my girl cousins. Somedays, I am great, and other days all I do is reminisce on all the embarrassing things I have ever done since I was ten years old. It is all very overwhelming.
The only thing that seems to ground me is my love for my things, my passion for television and giving my very lengthy unsolicited opinions. This is why I have decided to start my blog! I want to share all of my favorite things with everyone on Blue Ivy's internet. I was heavily inspired to start this project from Mindy Kaling's blog, Things I Bought That I Love. She is a Cancer sun/ Cancer Moon with a Gemini rising, and I deeply resonate with her appreciation for materialism, all things kitschy, and pop culture trivia.
In essence, this blog is a love letter to all of my frivolous ideas, beautiful things, favorite tv shows, and intermediate knowledge of astrology. I hope that my love of nonsense brings some brightness to your day or at least gets you to check out something new!
